At my kids school Kendama’s are a hit! They are constantly talking about different styles we could buy and different tricks. Some kids play with it so much some teachers have had to take away these toys during class time! We thought it would be fun to make a Kendama Classroom Valentine.
Supplies:
- sucker
- chocolate kisses
- aluminum foil
- hot glue gun
- bakers twine
- triangle printable
- Valentine printable
These are pretty simple to make. Aluminum foil is easy to wrap and mold to whatever shape you desire and it is easy for kids to use. First take your sucker and wrap a piece of foil around the stick.
Using the hot glue gun attach two chocolate kisses at the base of the sucker.
Use about a 5×3 piece of foil and cover the chocolate kisses working from the front to the back and top to bottom. I simply put the piece of foil just under the base of the sucker and tucked and folded until I covered the chocolate.
Using the printable triangle, cover it with foil. My girls didn’t like the look of the stick, they insisted it have the triangle bottom. So this part is for them.
Hot glue the triangle on top of the sucker stick. Cut a piece of bakers twine and attach it to the top of the sucker and the middle of the kisses.
You’re done! Cut the Valentine printable and sign your name. Either attach the kendama or put the kendama in a sandwich or cellophane bag then attach the printable. My girls are super excited to hand these out in a few days.
