Five Little Chefs – Cooking Salmon in Foil Packets
We had success with our last salmon recipe, the Little Chefs were excited to try another. This time we chose Grilled Salmon from allrecipes.com. Little Chef A helped Little Chef D measure out the marinade ingredients into a ziploc bag. Little Chef D wanted so badly to make this recipe all by herself. But when she realized she could not hold everything at once, she let her sister assist.
They were very careful to put the salmon in the bag without tearing it.
After marinading for a while in the refrigerator they decided it was time to cook. We thought it would be fun to cook it in a little package. Little Chefs C and D worked together to carefully place each piece of salmon on the foil and then close it up making sure the sauce did not get out. Little Chef C made sure she checked her sisters work. If it was not folded to her liking you bet she fixed it.
We cooked the packets on a cookie sheet at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Little Chef A said it was “cooked great and seasoned well.” Little Chef C said yes she would want to make it again. Little Chef D does not want to make it again. This is an easy recipe to prepare. The Little Chefs loved making the cute packages and were able to do it by themselves and there was no spillage in the oven on the cookie sheet!

I don't often make salmon, because it never really turns out, but this recipe seems easy enough to try. It's so nice that the little chefs enjoyed making them too!
