My kids were out of school for 3 weeks in July. We (my kids and myself) were gone for pretty much that entire time. We had 2 family reunions, went to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon then all the way down to Carlsbad Caverns (stopping at many places to see in between), up to my parents cabin, swimming, rodeo, shooting bows and arrows….a lot of family time. We had SO much fun that we were exhausted at the end. We came home to a party, had one day to regroup and prepare for school then off we went for the new year. Oh no the fun didn’t stop, we had another family reunion that next weekend and now this week we have family in town and we aren’t done playing.
Since we were gone for so long I needed to get a few people to take over my Sunday responsibilities. I knew I had to find a way to thank them all for filling in for me. My most favorite quick bread is Almond Poppyseed from Our Best Bites. I have taught my oldest how to make it. She loves baking it and giving it away. I paired that wonderful bread with a simple printable and I had my thank you done pretty quickly.
Thank You Printable
Supplies needed:
- Thanks for rising to the task printable
- Bakers twine
- Tape
- Baked bread
Directions:
- Cut the printable in half. Wrap one printable around the baked bread. Using tape secure both ends of the printable together so it stays in place.
- Using bakers twine, wrap around the bread as you would a present and finish it with a bow.
- Deliver your thank you gift and see the smile on their face.
Today the recipe was doubled because I had so many people to thank and of course I couldn’t make this bread without having some for my family. I bet I will be getting requests to take it in their lunch boxes tomorrow with their lunch box jokes!
