Panda Face Food Art

My Little Chefs have always loved playing with their food. When they go through periods of not wanting lunch we change it up to make it seem different. We might use a lunch tray instead of a plate, deconstruct their sandwich, put things on a stick, anything out of the ordinary. We do the same for afternoon snacks when everyone gets home because it is fun, they are always hungry at that time. I thought it would be fun to make an after school snack using one of our favorite play foods, ...

Tie Dye Butterfly Shirt Embellishment

This is a sponsored post. I have been compensated by product or payment. All opinions and experiences are truthful and my own. This post contains paid links. School has been in for a month now, because we are on year round school. It seems like we are always worried about school clothes for one reason or another. With 5 kids I have plenty of shirts that look nice except for that stain on the front right where everyone can see it. I hate to get rid of a shirt like this so I let my kids ...

What is the face of your dinner table?

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Barilla, but opinions are my own. Today we are getting real. A lot of times we do not want others to see what goes on behind our closed doors. But, today we are sharing with you what our table looks like at meal time. Sometimes we have happy faces. Sometimes we have angry faces. Sometimes we have sad faces. Sometimes we laugh. Sometimes we fight. Sometimes someone doesn't want to be talked to. Sometimes someone doesn't ...

MercoBox…if you are in Utah you need to read this!

I had the wonderful opportunity to review a MercoBox from MercoLocal. I was excited about this opportunity because I was not even vaguely familiar with this product or company. All I knew was at the beginning of each month MercoBoxes are delivered and each month the customer is surprised with the contents. The common thread is that all the products in the box are from locally owned businesses in Utah. How fun is that! I would like to know what is made here in Utah so that I can support those ...

Ice Castles in Midway, Utah

We had the opportunity this week to visit the Ice Castles in Midway, Utah. This was our first time at the Ice Castles, but because we had just seen Frozen so I knew my Little Chefs were going to make parallels to the movie and enjoy this experience even more. We arrived at dusk, just before the sun set, which seems to be SO early now days! We were able to see the Ice Castles in some light and then enjoyed them in the dark. The castles are lit from the inside with changing colors. They glow in ...

Sponsored Post: Just Dance Kids 2014

We do a lot of dancing and a lot of listening to music at our house. Recently, the Just Dance Kids 2014 game for XBOX 360 KINECT was sent to us to try out. My Little Chefs have had a great time dancing while listening to music and learning new moves! They especially love turning it on when friends are over. We all smile, laugh and cheer each other on while having so much fun! In fact, we have so much fun their friends request to play the game when they are over! As a parent I'm ...

Sponsored Post: Green Giant Veggie Snacks

Not only has school already started for us, but so has soccer season! Practices are keeping us busy each night. This Saturday is the first of the games. Spending so much time outside waiting and watching I have to be creative to keep my Little Chefs happy. One way is to make sure they are fed. I have found if they are hungry they are not happy anywhere, especially at the soccer field where they need to stay for a predetermined time. We are not able to leave whenever we want which makes it ...

Sponsored Post: Arby’s Grand Turkey Club Sandwich

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Arby's for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.   Now doesn't that picture make you hungry?! Does it make you want to reach out and take a bite? It looks like a sandwich I want to order when I know I will have 30 minutes on my own without Little Chef interruptions. It is a sandwich I want to slowly savor and enjoy without rushing to be somewhere or to stop in the middle to clean up a spill. It is a sandwich worthy of "me" ...

Fla-Vor-Ice Freezer Pops

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Jel Sert for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. When I was young I spent a lot of my summer outside riding my bike to the school to ride in safety on the playground, to the park for tennis or to the pool for fun. There is only one summertime treat I know of you can eat while riding a bike...Fla-Vor-Ice! Cut the top off and let it hang out of your mouth while you ride. No hands are needed! My Little Chefs play outside just as much ...

Rite Aid Tugaboos

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Rite Aid Tugaboos diapers. Are you like me and need to try out every brand of diapers until you find one you like? Maybe I'm a little strange, but I've had kids in diapers for years now and I have been through quite a few diapers and brands of diapers. My favorite place to shop for diapers is Rite Aid because it is right around the corner and because they have some great diaper sales. Did you know Rite Aid has their own brand of ...
