I’m always up for going somewhere different and FREE with the kids. This week we decided to check out Taffy Town which is located in downtown Salt Lake City. If you haven’t been there I highly recommend it. They give FREE tours of their facility. This tour is a formal tour and only offered Monday thru Thursday at 10:30 a.m. OR 2:30 p.m.. These tours need to be scheduled 2 days in advance.

Is food allowed?
No. They have some very strict rules, and because it is a food factory they do not allow any additional food.
Are strollers allowed?
No. They do not allow you to take your own stroller. However, they do provide strollers if you need one.
How close are the bathrooms?
It is highly recommended that you use the bathroom before starting the tour. Please make a note of that when you are trying to go on the tour.
What should I expect?

The tour is about an hour long so make sure your kids aren’t tired. This way you are able to feed you candy desires before you head back in to the car. You are required to wear closed toe shoes!!!
Any safety concerns?
For every 3 people under 18 one adult is required. Note, anyone under 5 is required to be held. So, if you have 2 children under 5 I highly recommend bring a second adult to help with kids.
Overall opinion?
My oldest son enjoyed this tour a lot. It is a great FREE tour to see how taffy is made. My son had a lot of questions afterward to be prepared for that!!
Anything else I need to know?
They will provide a hair net for EVERYONE that is going on the tour. This is a little difficult to keep on the younger kids. It is required that the hair net stay on throughout the entire tour. You also need to remove all jewelry and can not take any bags, purses, phones, cameras, etc inside with you.
