Mini Sausage Frittata
I'm happy to be working with Johnsonville to bring you this Mini Sausage Frittata recipe. This breakfast recipe takes a little longer to cook because I like my hash browns crispy. Most of your time is waiting for the fritatas to bake which makes the preparation simple which means this an easy recipe.
All of my kids LOVED this recipe. After just a couple bites they told me we needed to make this again. This was a home run! They especialy loved the sausage in the middle!
I have found ...
Raspberry Cream Cheese French Toast
We are having raspberry everything in my house right now and I love it! I have been picking about 2 cups from my raspberry bushes each day. We have more on the vines but those end up in my kids mouths before we make it to the kitchen! Our Homemade Raspberry Syrup as well as this Raspberry Cream Cheese French Toast are easy recipes. This is an overnight french toast recipe or if you love breakfast for dinner just prepare this early in the morning.
Before you start making this Raspberry ...
Homemade Raspberry Syrup
Raspberries hold a special place in my heart. When I was little the raspberries grew on the side of our house. I would jump over the side of the front porch to pick. Each time I went out I would come back with a huge bowl! When my kids go to Grandma and Grandpa's house they like to have their snack outside in the garden. The main thing they eat are raspberries - which Grandma calls "candy" because they are so sweet. This year at my house we have an abundance of raspberries. I have been freezing ...
Breakfast Quesadilla
My kids love helping me in the kitchen. My 2 year old is my biggest help right now--sometimes a little too helpful if you know what I mean! My kids love creating recipes. Working with Johnsville Sausage we have created an easy Sausage and Egg Breakfast Quesadilla that kids can make because my kids will eat anything wrapped in a tortilla.
The hardest part of this recipe is the sausage. But fear not! I want to tell you about Johnsonville Fully Cooked Sausage. All the hard work is done. No ...
Breakfast Burrito
Disclosure: I was paid to produce this post but the opinions in it are my own.
Do you ever shop at the grocery store thinking about what to make for breakfast for your house guests? Frozen and refrigerated foods are great because a lot of the hard work is done. When you are up late having fun the last thing you want to do is get up super early to make something delicious. Why not get a little help from the frozen and refrigerated sections while you sleep in just a little bit longer.

Breakfast Hash
Are you ever looking for a breakfast or brunch recipe to impress? Since next Sunday is Grandparents Day we are sharing a "Brunch with Grandparents" menu this week!
While searching through a Taste of Home book I found this breakfast hash recipe that I knew would be amazing and was not let down. This is a great recipe for Little Chefs because after the prep work it is made in one skillet which means only one thing to focus on. There is some waiting time to let the hash browns lightly brown, ...
Cinnamon Syrup
Happy International Waffle Day! We decided to share with you our Cinnamon Syrup that you can put over your favorite waffle recipe! If you don't have a favorite waffle recipe I highly suggest you try Almost Famous Pecan Waffles they are filling and wonderful! It seems almost once a week we have breakfast for dinner. Maybe it is because I am becoming more and more exhausted at dinner time or most likely because we just like breakfast foods. Not only are they quick to make, we have the ingredi...
Easter Bunny Pancakes
Did your mom always tell you to not play with your food?! Well, for this Easter Breakfast, we wanted to get the kids involved. What better way to have our Easter breakfast than with pancakes. And to make it even better, let the Little Chefs make them into Easter Bunnies!
My Little Chefs LOVE pancakes. We eat pancakes not just for breakfast, but for lunch and dinner as well. This is why I needed to make a homemade pancake recipe that we loved. For this recipe I like to add and change ...
Mini Frittatas
During the week we do not cook hot breakfast, unless you count microwave oatmeal. On the weekends we get a little fancy with pancakes, waffles and eggs. When we found Mini Frittatas by Giada we were excited. It seemed like a perfect recipe for us. Mix the eggs and additional ingredients all in one bowl and then pour them into mini muffin tins and cook it for 10 minutes. Seemed quick and easy.
The first step was to cut the ham. For some reason this day the Little Chefs were not that interested ...
Cinnamon Waffles
Next up in our family favorites series is Cinnamon Waffles. We have tried a few waffle recipes. What I love about this one is the cinnamon. If you are ambitious you can separate the egg. Mix the yolk in with the mix then whip the whites and fold in at the end. The waffles are fluffy when you do this, but a lot of times I have hungry kids and omit the extra step. They turn out great either way! A couple years ago I needed to buy a new waffle iron. I love how crispy our waffles turn out with ...
German Pancake and Buttermilk Syrup
For one night when Little Chef Dad is away for work we usually have breakfast for dinner. This evening Little Chef A wanted to make German Pancakes. She remembers loving them after making them for the first time with Grandma. Don't you love how memories are tied together with food!
Little Chef A got out the eggs to crack. It is so funny to me that she says, "Oopsy" each time she cracks it open with her thumbs as if she made a mistake! Followed by the much anticipated, "Icky, my hands are ...
Almost Famous Pecan Waffles
Little Chef D was reading the Food Network magazine and wanted to make Almost Famous Pecan Waffles.
The pecans were placed on a cookie sheet and baked until toasted.
After they were toasted, Little Chef D used the hand chopper and easily chopped them into smaller pieces.
While the pecans were toasting she measured the ingredients.
The butter and shortening were added to a bowl then put in the microwave to melt. Afterward, the bowl was set on the counter to ...
